Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of The Face Report at https://thefacereport.com. By using our services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use The Face Report.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use the AI features of The Face Report. By creating an account or using our AI tools, you confirm that you meet this age requirement; we verify age by self-reported year of birth and cannot independently verify it. If you indicate that you are under 18, you may use only our on-device geometric tools. We do not direct this service to children under 13. See our Privacy Policy (§7) for how we handle age and children's data.

2. Service Description

The Face Report provides AI-powered facial analysis tools including face shape detection, symmetry scoring, proportional harmony analysis, and personalized recommendations. Our services include:

• Free tools: Face shape detection, symmetry test, and harmony score — processed entirely in your browser.
• Paid features (Pro): Full AI analysis with personalized recommendations and an AI styling concept powered by Google Gemini.

3. Not Medical or Professional Advice

The Face Report is an informational and entertainment tool. Our analysis, scores, and recommendations do not constitute medical, dermatological, or professional advice.

• Results are generated by AI algorithms and should not be used for medical diagnosis or treatment decisions.
• Skincare and lifestyle recommendations are general suggestions, not prescriptions. Consult a qualified professional before making health-related decisions.
• Facial harmony scores reflect mathematical proportions, not objective measures of attractiveness or worth.

4. AI-Generated Content

The AI styling concept and personalized recommendations are generated by artificial intelligence (Google Gemini). This content:

• Is a simulation, not a prediction of actual results from any procedure or product.
• May contain inaccuracies or artifacts typical of AI image generation.
• Should not be interpreted as achievable outcomes from cosmetic procedures.
• Is AI-generated. New EU AI Act transparency rules on machine-readable marking of AI-generated content take effect in 2026; we are working to add machine-readable provenance marking to our generated images ahead of those rules applying to us.

5. Account Terms

• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and password.
• You may only upload photos of yourself or photos for which you have explicit consent from the subject.
• You may not use our services to analyze photos of minors.
• We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate these Terms.

6. Payments & Billing

• Reports (the Face Report and the Mini Report, plus the mini-to-full upgrade) are sold as one-time purchases via Stripe at the prices shown at checkout.
• Tokens for the AI image tools are sold in one-time packs (Starter: 10 tokens for $9.99, Standard: 25 tokens for $19.99, Pro: 60 tokens for $39.99) via Stripe.
• Tokens never expire and can be spent on any token-priced image tool (Glow-Up Pack, Hairstyle Pack, etc.) at any time.
• There are no recurring charges or automatic renewals.
• Not happy with your purchase? Request a full refund within 7 days — no questions asked. Just email contact@thefacereport.com and we’ll process it manually. A report refund revokes access to the paid report; a token-pack refund reverses any unused tokens granted by that purchase.

7. Biometric Data & Privacy

Your privacy is fundamental to our service. Please review our Privacy Policy for full details on how we handle facial data, including our biometric data notice for Illinois (BIPA), Washington (MHMDA), and EU (GDPR) residents.

Key points: uploaded photos are deleted within 2 hours of processing (free geometric tools never upload your photo at all); free scan results are kept for 2 days, then deleted by the next successful automated daily purge, and a purchased report is kept until you delete it and in any case no longer than 12 months after creation; Google Gemini and Anthropic process our inputs under their paid APIs, which do not use them to train their models; we never sell your data; and we name every AI and processing provider, and what each receives, in our Privacy Policy. You can delete all your data yourself at any time.

8. Intellectual Property

• You retain ownership of any photos you upload.
• AI-generated visualizations are provided for your personal use. You may share them but may not use them for commercial purposes without our consent.
• The The Face Report name, logo, and website content are our intellectual property.

9. Disclaimers

The Face Report is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee:

• The accuracy, completeness, or reliability of analysis results.
• That the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
• That AI-generated visualizations will accurately represent potential outcomes.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, The Face Report and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to emotional distress, arising from your use of the service.

Our total liability for any claims related to the service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Termination

You may delete your account at any time. Upon deletion, we will remove your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy. We may terminate or suspend your account for violations of these Terms.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a prominent notice on our website. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
