A countdown, four shots, six looks, a caption and the date, saved as a 2 x 6 inch strip, a four-cut print or a single instant-style photo, at the size real booths print. Webcam, phone or your own photos. Free, in your browser, nothing uploaded.
Starting your camera…
Your camera stays in your browser: the frames are drawn on your device and there is no upload on this page.
Most online photo booths save a screen-sized picture with a filter on it. This one does the three things a coin-operated booth does, and that most web booths skip.
Shot on a timer
Three, five or ten seconds, then the flash, then the next one. Four shots in a row with a short pause to change pose, like the booth at the station.
Saved at print size
A strip is 2 x 6 inches at 300 dpi, and the print sheet puts two on a 4 x 6 the way booths print them. No upscaling, no blurry print.
Printed the right way round
The preview is reflected so you can frame yourself; the strip is not, because that is how a booth prints and how everyone else sees you. Flip it back with one switch.
Every one of the 4 layouts is saved at 300 dots per inch, so the pixel size below prints at the stated size with no resizing. For the strips, download the 4 x 6 print sheet, print it as an ordinary 4 x 6 photo and cut down the dashed line.
| Layout | Shots | Print size | Pixels | How to print |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Strip of 4 | 4 | 2 x 6 in | 600 x 1800 | Two to a 4 x 6 sheet; cut down the middle. |
| Strip of 3 | 3 | 2 x 6 in | 600 x 1800 | Two to a 4 x 6 sheet; cut down the middle. |
| Four cut | 4 | 4 x 6 in | 1200 x 1800 | Print as a 4 x 6 photo. |
| Polaroid | 1 | 3.5 x 4.2 in | 1050 x 1260 | Print on 4 x 6 and trim, or keep it on screen. |
Every selfie preview shows you a reflection, and so does the preview here, because that is the only way to frame yourself without thinking. A booth prints the unreflected photo: the version other people see, with writing the right way round. Most people find that version looks slightly off at first, and the reason is familiarity, not the photo. The true mirror shows both versions of your face live and explains the effect. If you would rather keep the selfie look, switch Mirrored on and the strip is saved reflected.
Yes. There is no account, no watermark you cannot remove and no limit on strips. The small thefacereport.com mark at the foot of the strip is on by default and switches off with one tap.
Yes, on iPhone and Android in the browser, with the front camera. Saving uses your phone's share sheet, so the strip goes straight to your photos or to a friend. Choose a 5 or 10 second timer if you need time to get a group into the frame.
The strip is saved at 2 x 6 inches and 300 dpi, the size real booths print. Download the 4 x 6 print sheet, which holds two copies of the strip side by side, print it as an ordinary 4 x 6 photo at a pharmacy kiosk or on photo paper, and cut down the dashed line. The four-cut layout is already a 4 x 6, so print it as it is.
A classic strip is 2 x 6 inches (51 x 152 mm), four or three photos tall. The Korean four-cut format is a 4 x 6 inch print with four photos in a grid. An instant-camera print is about 3.5 x 4.2 inches with a square photo. The booth saves each layout at those sizes, so a print needs no resizing.
No. The camera stream, every shot and the finished strip are handled in your browser, and closing the tab clears them. The only thing that leaves is an anonymous count of which layouts and looks people use, so the booth can be improved. If you choose Scan this shot, that one photo is passed to the free face scan on this site, which runs on your device and asks for its own consent before anything is sent.
The preview is reflected like every selfie preview, so you can frame yourself. The saved strip is not, because that is how a real booth prints and how other people see you: any writing on a T-shirt reads the right way round. If you prefer the selfie look, switch Mirrored on and the strip keeps the reflection. The true mirror tool explains why the unreflected face can look slightly wrong at first.
Yes. Choose Use my own photos and pick up to four. Photos from an iPhone in HEIC format are converted in your browser. Each photo is cropped to fill its frame from the centre, and you can replace any single photo afterwards.
Natural leaves the photo alone. Black and white, Warm film, Vintage, Cool and Soft glow adjust contrast, colour and fade. The live preview shows each look as you shoot; the saved strip applies the same look at print size, and the film looks add a little grain and darkened corners that a live preview would not show.
